The Runway Run Trail is a versatile running event that takes place at Park Vliegbasis Soesterberg. Participants can choose from different distances: 5 km, 10 km, a KidsRun and a trail run of 11.5 km. The course of the 5 and 10 km is largely flat and runs over the former military terrain, which makes for a unique running experience. The trail run offers a more challenging course with approximately 100 meters of elevation and runs through both the air base and the adjacent estate De Paltz, with a mix of unpaved paths and natural obstacles.
The StartbaanRun is known for its good organization and special location, making it a popular event for both recreational and experienced runners. In addition, the run contributes to charity, with part of the proceeds being donated to local initiatives.
