On Sunday, March 3, 2024, Team Sukerbiet will organize the trail run for the 9th time under the name Hubo Sukerbiet Trailrun, with 2 distances again this year: 12.5 km and 25 km.
Both routes are set out in one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands. With the Lemelerberg and Archemerberg, which rise 78 meters above the Salland landscape, this offers a unique course with sporty height differences and beautiful views. The 25 km has 375 meters of elevation and the 12.5 km distance 200 meters of elevation!
The starting location has been Natuurcamping 'De Lemeler Esch' in Lemele for several years now. Because we are allowed to start at this unique location, literally at the foot of the Lemelerberg, the route has NO ASPHALT.

About the Lemelerberg
The Lemelerberg, located in the province of Overijssel, the Netherlands, is a striking hill that is part of the vast nature reserve Sallandse Heuvelrug. This hill, with its beautiful landscape, offers a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The Lemelerberg is known for its rolling heathlands and vast forests. In the late summer months, the heath comes into bloom and the landscape changes into a sea of purple hues, which provides an enchanting spectacle. The area offers an extensive network of hiking trails and viewpoints, making it a paradise for hikers and nature lovers.
One of the striking features of the Lemelerberg is the Sahara, a unique drifting sand area that is reminiscent of a desert landscape. This is a rare find in the Netherlands and adds an extra element of adventure to the area.
The Lemelerberg also offers beautiful views over the surrounding landscape, including the Vecht Valley and the Sallandse Heuvelrug itself.
In short, the Lemelerberg is a natural treasure that invites relaxation, exploration and appreciation for the unspoiled beauty of Overijssel. It is a place where visitors can enjoy the serenity and splendor of Dutch nature.
