Why Anti-Abrasion Cream?

Anti chafing cream is designed to reduce friction between the skin surfaces, reducing the risk of irritation and blisters. It provides a protective layer that keeps the skin supple, even during activities where friction is unavoidable. Whether you're an avid runner, an avid walker or simply looking for comfort during your daily activities, anti-chafing cream can be a game changer.

Benefits of Anti Chafing Cream

  1. Comfortable Movement: Anti-chafing cream provides a smooth glide between the skin's surfaces, allowing you to move easily without the fear of chafing. Whether it is sports or just daily activities, you can enjoy a more comfortable experience.

  2. Prevents Blisters and Irritation: By forming a protective barrier, anti-chafing cream helps prevent blisters and irritation that often occur with repeated friction. This is especially useful when breaking in new shoes or during intense physical activities.

  3. Long Lasting Protection: Many anti-chafing creams provide long-lasting protection, allowing you to keep moving all day long without worrying about discomfort or soreness.

Three brands of anti-chafing cream tested

We have three great brands in our range and we have therefore taken a closer look at them.

1. Squirrel's Nut Butter

anti schuur middel

Squirrel's Nut Butter is an all-natural, abrasion-resistant ointment. Although I don't think ointment is the right word. It feels more like a slightly hardened coconut oil. It also only becomes soft when it is a bit warmer. That is also the case here. So when it is a bit colder you should break up the cream a bit and let it soften on your hands. It smells nice and once it is liquid, it spreads well. Sometimes a small hard grain seems to remain behind. Lasts a long time if you apply enough, and therefore works great.

2. Revvi

anti schuur middel

Revvi has a completely different product. This is a really soft, spreadable cream. More reminiscent of body lotion. That's how it smells too. This is not only an anti-friction cream, but it also works directly against dehydration and is anti-bacterial. I haven't had any blisters or irritation, but I feel like this is more of a lotion for dry skin and cracks than a real anti-chafing cream.

3. Runguard

anti schuur middel

Runguard is the third. This only comes as a stick for spreading and not as a can or jar. Runguard is very similar to Squirrel's Nut Butter (SNB). This product also uses coconut oil, but you smell Runguard less. Actually works quite the same as SNB.
