Description

Almost nothing on your head. The NU25 MCT UL weighs 47 grams and hangs on a thin, elastic cord band. It doesn't press anywhere and also fits well under a cap or beanie. On a long run you mainly notice what you don't notice: no sweaty band on your forehead.

Choose your light colour. Switch between cool white for maximum visibility, neutral light and warm light that is calmer to look at in fog and rain. The wide beam without harsh hotspots is easy on your eyes during long night sections, and red light keeps your night vision intact.

Handy as a second lamp. Thanks to its low weight it fits easily into your mandatory kit as a backup lamp. In the included pouch the light is softly diffused, so you can also use it as a tent lamp. Charging is via USB-C; the battery is built in.

Prefer a wide headband? Choose the NU25 MCT. Counting every gram? Then this is the version for you.

Why Nitecore?

For a short evening run you want a lamp you barely feel, for a night in the mountains you want every bit of light there is. One brand that does both well is handy. That's exactly why we carry Nitecore at Trail.NL.

Nitecore makes headlamps from ultralight to very powerful, plus power banks and batteries you take along on the go. Many lamps charge via USB-C and some also run on regular batteries when the battery is empty. So you choose the lamp that suits your runs.

For us, Nitecore is above all a practical choice: plenty of light for little weight, smart battery solutions and a lamp for every distance.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the NU25 MCT UL last?

According to Nitecore: 2 hours 40 minutes at 400 lumens, 5 hours at 200 lumens, 13 hours at 60 lumens and 45 hours at 6 lumens. The red light lasts 26 hours.

What's the difference with the NU25 MCT?

It's the same lamp, but with a thin cord band instead of a wide headband. That makes the UL 47 grams, versus 50 grams for the MCT.

Can I use it as a tent lamp?

Yes. Put the lamp in the included diffuser pouch and you have soft, even light in your tent.

Is the NU25 MCT UL waterproof?

It's IP66: resistant to rain and splashing, but not for submersion. It survives a 1-metre drop.
